Attended this advanced and deep tissue massage course June of last year. Excellent course put on by The School of Natural Therapies. It’s great to practice on an intuitive level and I’m always grateful for deeper knowledge and expertise.

🥳 Entering the final year of my 40s (eek) has me thinking about how my definition of wellness has changed. We hear so much about 'fighting' aging, but I'm choosing to lean into it. It’s not about chasing perfection. For me, wellness now means being genuinely kind to myself, reducing the daily pressure, and completely removing the guilt. Perimenopause and all, this stage is about self-compassion, strength, and being happy in my own skin. I begin still running on work / Mum pace, thinking ahead, checking my phone, half still in everything I'm used to doing. Then something starts to shift after a day or two. My shoulders drop a little. My sleep starts to change. My breathing deepens without trying. And suddenly it's apparent how much I've actually been holding. That's the moment I feel ready for a massage.
