I’ve been looking into healing with sound frequencies. We know that sound has a powerful effect on the body and mind, and certain frequencies (measured in hertz/Hz) are thought to help restore balance. Sound baths work on this principle, using vibrations to promote deep relaxation and well-being. Whether it’s easing tension, improving focus, or supporting the body’s natural rhythms, different sounds can have subtle but powerful effects.
Here’s a quick breakdown of some commonly used frequencies in therapy:
40 Hz – Thought to support brain function and focus. Some studies suggest it may help with cognitive health. Ideal for catching up with some admin!
174 Hz – Said to reduce pain and tension, making it great for relaxation.
285 Hz – Believed to help with healing and cell regeneration, which could be useful for post-exercise recovery.
396 Hz – Associated with releasing fear and negative emotions, creating a sense of emotional grounding.
432 Hz – Sometimes called the “harmony frequency,” this one is thought to promote relaxation and a feeling of well-being.
528 Hz – Known as the “love frequency,” it’s said to help with emotional healing and even DNA repair!
852 Hz – Linked to intuition and mental clarity, which could be great for mindfulness or deep relaxation.
I’m looking to incorporate these frequencies into my treatments. If you would like, I can play a sound recording in the background to match what you need, whether it’s relaxation, stress relief, or a little mental clarity. Just let me know before your session, or we can decide on the day. A simple but powerful way to add something extra to your treatment!
